Established in 1936, Shingle Inn originally opened as a tea house and restaurant on Edward Street, Brisbane. Instantly developing a strong reputation with locals, Shingle Inn became a busy landmark renowned for its all-day menu, delicious coffee, high-tea, decadent sweet treats and famous cakes. As Shingle Inn expanded to almost 45 locations nationally, these attributes have continued to delight customers for over 80 years. Today, they continue to bake an array of traditional and innovative products from their exclusive bakery in Brisbane.

Shingle Inn are pleased to annouce the launch of much loved dessert to their core bakery range - the Opera Slice, available in cake cabinets Australia wide, at Shingle Inn. Dating back to the 1950’s, originating in France, this traditional dessert is light yet decadent with delicate layers of sponge cake, coffee cream and chocolate ganache filling. Perfectly paired with an afternoon coffee.
