Freakishly Cool Halloween Crafts

Simple Halloween Ghosts

This cute ghost craft is perfect for little mosters to make for Halloween. This one is a little tricky, so for children aged 3-5 years we recommend an adult assistance!


Materials

  • Paper ghost pattern, printed on white paper - Download here
  • Black paper straws
  • Wiggle eyes stickers
  • Scissors
  • Tape
Directions
  1. Download and print out the paper ghost patter on white paper. Gather the rest of your supplies.

  2. Cut out your paper ghost pattern. Fold the middle of it in half vertically and cut the two small gray slits on the pattern. Unfold it.

  3. Thread your black paper straw through the two slits you cut. Use tape to secure the straw in place on the back of the ghost.

  4. Add googly eye stickers onto your ghost. You could also glue on googly eyes as an alternative.

Felt Bat Finger Puppets

If you are looking for a fun and playful Halloween craft to keep the kids busy this weekend we have the perfect craft. These cute felt bat finger puppets are a little tricky, so for children aged 3-5 years we recommend an adult assistance!



Materials
  • felt bat finger puppets pattern - download here
  • black felt
  • small piece of white felt
  • sewing pins
  • small sewing scissors
  • small googly eyes
  • tacky glue

Directions

  1. Print out the bat finger puppets pattern and cut out the pattern pieces

  2. Pin the pattern pieces onto a piece of black felt with your sewing pins. Use your small sewing scissors to cut out the pattern pieces. After cutting out the bat body, fold it in half to cut the two slits shown on the pattern pieces.

  3. Fold one of the bat wings up tightly and slide it down into one of the slits on the front of the bat body then bring it back up through the second slit at the back of the bat body.

  4. Use your tacky glue to glue small googly eyes onto your bat finger puppets and teeth cut out from a small piece of white felt.

Stuffed Paper Bag Frankenstein

These awesome stuffed paper bag crafts stand up on their own, so you can display them as Halloween decorations at home!


Materials

  • Paper lunch bag
  • Green and black paint\
  • Paintbrush
  • Green and black cardstock or construction paper
  • Newspaper
  • Googly eyes
  • Black marker
  • Silver pom poms
  • Glue Dots
  • Stapler
  • Scissors

Directions

  1. Start by painting the bottom half of one side of your paper lunch bag with your green paint. After it drys, turn it over and paint the top half of the other side of your paper lunch bag with your black paint.

  2. When your paint is finished drying cut strips of newspaper, crunch them up and stuff them into your paper bag until it is halfway full. Close the bag and staple it shut.

  3. Fold down the back of the paper bag with the black paint showing. Trim the paper bag so the hair is a good length and then staple it down onto the paper bag.

  4. Use your scissors to trim and cut out triangles for Frankenstein’s hair.

  5. Glue your googly eyes onto your paper bag Frankenstein craft. Cut out an eyebrow and nose from your black and green cardstock and glue them onto your bag. Use your black marker to draw a mouth and scar onto your Frankenstein.

  6. Finish your paper bag Frankenstein craft by adding glue dots onto your silver pom poms and attach them to the side of your bag for the bolts.
